Boards & Commissions

Since December 15, 2020, the Town of Fountain Hills Boards and Commissions' meetings in the Town Hall Council Chambers have been closed to the public in an abundance of caution against the spread of COVID-19. At the March 2, 2021 Town Council meeting, Mayor Ginny Dickey announced that Board and Commissions meetings are now open to in-person participation. All attendees are asked to physically distance and wear a face covering while in Town Hall.

The Town Council uses every opportunity to establish community participation programs to allow for citizen involvement and input. Boards and commissions are created to allow Fountain Hills citizens to take an active role in Town government. The members of the Town’s boards and commissions must be residents of Fountain Hills at the time of their appointment and for the full duration of their term. Applicants may be invited to interview with a subcommittee of the Town Council, which will then provide a recommendation to the Mayor. The Mayor makes the final appointment at a Council Meeting, with approval by the Town Council.
