3 on 3 Youth Basketball Tournament
Form a team with 3 or 4 of your friends and come out to Golden Eagle Park for a fun and recreation Co-Ed 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament. We have three Divisions, 9-11 year olds, 12-14 year olds, and 15-18 year olds. The program is open to both residents and non-residents. The emphasis is on having fun and playing recreational basketball. Winners of each division will receive a grand prize! Please bring a water, and a light or dark colored matching t-shirt with the rest of your teammates. Pre-registration is required. Register online!

65+ Senior Softball League
The Town of Fountain Hills Community Services Department offers Senior Softball year-round with three separate seasons: Spring, Summer and Fall. Games are played on Wednesday mornings at Golden Eagle Park with double headers. Full fields and Senior bats allowed! Team managers meetings are scheduled as needed. Modified Senior Softball rules apply. Come out for fun, fellowship, and friendly competition! Team rosters and waivers are due prior to the first game! Registration opens

Fountain Hills Senior Softball Tournament: 2019 Kick Off
The Town of Fountain Hills Community Services Department will be hosting a recreational softball tournament for men, ages 40-50, 50+, 55+, 60+, and 65+ at Golden Eagle Park on November 3 - 4, 2018. Teams with a rating of AA, AAA, and Major are welcome. Modified Senior Softball rules will apply. Rosters must be submitted to tournament director one week prior to the start of the tournament on October 25th. Price includes softballs, umpires, facility fees, 1st place prizes, overhead and staff. Registrations are confirmed by payment ONLY. Good sportsmanship is a must! Space is limited to 16 teams for each tournament and the fee is $295 per team. The Fountain Hills Senior Softball Tournament: 2019 Kick Off is recreational and the goal of the Fountain Hills Community Services Department is to coordinate an enjoyable tournament for both the participants and spectators. When registering, please enter your date of birth, team age division, team rating, and team name.

Friday Night Open Gym
The Town of Fountain Hills Community Services Department will conduct Friday Night Open Gym for all ages who want to hang out with friends, play basketball, dodge ball, play on the playground, and enjoy free play at Fountain Hills Middle School.
This is an unstructured play time program. Kids can bring a ball of their choice and parents are welcome to stay. Open gym is not a licensed daycare facility. Parents can drop in on the day of the event. Participants are welcome to bring a friend, come hang out and play indoors! There is a fee of $5 to attend.

Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run
Town of Fountain Hills Parks and Recreation will host a FREE Major League Baseball® Pitch, Hit & Run Competition for boys and girls ages 7-14 at Golden Eagle Park fields #2, 3, and 4. Pitch, Hit & Run is the Official Skills Competition of Major League Baseball®. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball skills. Competitors are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14.
The individual Pitching, Hitting and Running Champions, along with the All-Around Champion in each age group at the Local Competition will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Level of Competition. Representatives from MLB & LEJ state that baseball will be for male participants only and softball for females only. Females ages 7-10 should use a 11 inch softball and girls ages 11-14 should use a 12 inch softball. The girls will pitch at 35 feet from strike-zone target (10ft shorter than boys) and girls running event is a total distance of 120 feet (40ft shorter than the boys). Softball and Baseball will be scored and awarded separately. All participants must fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition. Registration will only take place on-site prior to start and parents will need to be there to complete the waiver. The winners will have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2019 MLB All-Star Game®.

Pickleball is a combination of ping-pong, tennis, and badminton. In the oddly named sport, singles or double teams hit a waffle ball over a low net with wooden or composite paddles.
Please contact the Fountain Hills Pickleball Club with questions on the paddles and waffle balls but players are encouraged to bring their own. Pickleball is a fun, easy sport to learn! Come join the excitement! There is drop-in play daily and schedules are posted at the Palisades Courts (1300 N. Palisades Blvd, Fountain Hills, AZ 85268)

Tennis Pro Ron Nielson will be teaching our teen and adult classes. Ron comes to us from California where he previously was the Head Tennis Pro at 2 private tennis clubs. He has over 30 years of experience teaching tennis in Southern California. Ron was a former #1 ranked player in Southern California, and has worked as a tennis coach with many nationally ranked senior and junior players, including the former #1 ranked doubles team in the world, Mike and Bob Bryan. Ron is also available for private and semi-private lessons. Classes are not held June through August.
