What specialties is your venue known for?

Both Event Center and Fountain Park offer panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the world famous fountain.

How many people does the space comfortably accommodate?

The Event Center can accommodate up to 500. Fountain Park can accommodate several thousand depending on specific area chosen for your event.

Do you offer any special services?

Tables and chairs are included with rental at the Event Center. Outside vendors are welcome at both venues; all vendors and caterers must be licensed and insured.

Do you provide rentals?

Tables and chairs come with the room rental. Dance floor, AV equipment and other items are available for an additional fee. No rentals are available at Fountain Park.

Do you require brides to use a specific list of vendors?

No, however, vendors must be licensed and insured. Proof of insurance is required.

Do you require the wedding party to use your musicians?

Your choice of music is permitted, no extra charge. Electricity for bands and DJs is available at the Fountain Park Amphitheater.

Do you have any special side rooms that can be rented out for the occasion?

The Event Center has meeting rooms available to rent if additional space if needed.

Do you have cooking facilities?

The facility has a 990 sq. ft. warming kitchen available.

Do you provide your own catering? If so, can a bride opt to use an outside caterer if she prefers?

No on-site food service is available. Outside caterers are welcome; they must be licensed and insured, all documentation will need to be provided to Event Center staff prior to the event date.

Do you have a liquor license?

As of July 1, 2009 the Community & Event Center will no longer be offering liquor service. Currently, Center staff is working through the Request for Proposal process to obtain a sole source vendor for liquor service at our facility. After the vendor has been selected, and if alcohol will be served at your event, each licensee would be required to use this selected vendor for all liquor needs. The bartending service that will be chosen for exclusive service at the Fountain Hills Community & Event Center will be a proven professional business that is licensed by the State of Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control and will carry liability insurance. After the vendor has been named Center staff will contact you with the vendor’s business information and you will be required to work with them to schedule service for your upcoming event.

What restrictions (if any) are there on decorations?

All fire code regulations must be followed at both facilities, including tents at Fountain Park. At the Event Center, candles must be enclosed (votive, hurricane lamp, floating). Nothing may be attached to facility walls or ceiling.

What restrictions are there (if any) on music or noise levels?

What restrictions are there (if any) on attire?

If your site is in a public location, is the couple required to get any permits?

Depending on the function, additional permits may be necessary for rentals at Fountain Park.

Does your venue often accommodate more than one wedding at a time?

Yes. Staff makes a conscious effort to book events so that they do not interfere with one another.

Do you offer security, if requested?

Yes. We contract with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and security is required for all events serving alcohol and some events not serving alcohol may require security as determined by Center staff.

Describe your bathroom facilities.

The Event Center has tastefully decorated restroom facilities. Fountain Park has public restrooms, however most events take place far from those facilities.

Describe your parking facilities.

Over 350 parking spaces available in the Event Center complex, additional parking is available along Avenue of the Fountains. Fountain Park has two parking lots and on street parking around most of the park. Both facilities are ADA compliant.

Do you offer valet parking?

No

Is there handicap access?

Yes each facility complies with ADA requirements.

Do you provide dishes, silverware, and linens?

No, rentals companies or caterers provide these.

Do you provide ice?

Yes, the Event Center has an ice machine which makes 500 lbs. of ice.

What are the Park hours of Operation?

6 a.m. – 11 p.m.

What restrictions are there on decorations at Fountain Park?

All fire code regulations must be followed, including tents at Fountain Park. We do not allow any items, such as floating candles, to be placed in the lake.

If your site is in a public location, is the couple required to get any permits?

Depending on the function, additional permits may be necessary for rentals at Fountain Park. Tent rentals are one area that would require a permit. An 8 1/2” x 11” paper showing the location, size of tent and type of fabric would need to be submitted to the Fountain Hills Fire Department no later than two weeks prior to the event date. After a final inspection of the tent FHFD would then issue a permit.

Can I have a horse drawn carriage?

Yes, however a certificate of insurance would be required.

What if I wanted to serve liquor at my event?

Beer and wine only are permitted at Fountain Park with the purchase of a separate Park Alcohol Permit, which is good for up to 50 consuming adults. No hard liquor is permitted.

Do you require the event to use a specific musician? What about electricity?

Your choice of music is permitted at no extra charge. Electricity for bands and DJ’s are available at the Fountain Park Amphitheater only. There are a few outlets between Open Turf Area 3 and Open Turf Area 4 along with those at the Performance Pad.

Can I have the fountain operate during my event?

The fountain runs 7 days a week from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., for 15 minutes at the top of the hour. You can choose to have the fountain run for additional time, however, there is a fee. The fountain is equipped with a wind gage, if winds gust more than 10 mph it will automatically shut down.
