The Town of Fountain Hills is accepting applications for Three (3)–two year terms on the Board of Adjustment. Any resident of Fountain Hills (one-year minimum) interested in serving on the Board of Adjustment is invited to submit an application. The Board meets in the evenings at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month on an as needed basis. Service on the Board is strictly voluntary. The duty of the Board of Adjustment is to hear and decide appeals concerning the Zoning Administrator’s interpretation or administration of the Zoning Ordinance, and to hear and decide appeals for variances from the terms of the Zoning Ordinance.
The application requirements and forms may be downloaded from the Town’s website or picked up at the Town Hall Administration customer service desk, second floor during normal business hours Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. To download, click here.
The completed application packet should consist of (1) cover letter of interest; (2) a resume; (3) completed Background and Personal Data Outline; (4) completed Supplemental Questionnaire; and (5) signed Consent to Executive Session.
Completed application forms should be clearly labeled “Board of Adjustment Application,” and may be hand-delivered to the Administration Customer Service Desk at Town Hall, 2nd floor or mailed to the attention of Janice Baxter, Executive Assistant, Development Services at 16705 E. The Development Services Department, Planning and Zoning Division will be accepting applications until 12:00 p.m. (noon) Thursday, December 6, 2012.
