Town of Fountain Hills, Arizona

The Town of Fountain Hills’ Parks & Recreation Commission duties include:

• Act in advisory capacity to the council and town manager in all matters pertaining to parks and recreation.
• Consider provisions of the annual budget for park and recreation purposes during the process of the preparation of the budget and make recommendations with respect thereto to the parks and recreation director.
• Assist in the planning of a recreational program for the citizens of the town.
• Promote and stimulate public interest therein.
• Advise the parks and recreation director with respect to the acceptance of money, personal property or real estate donated or offered to the town for park or recreational purposes.
• Perform such other duties not inconsistent with this chapter as may be requested by the council.

The Parks and Recreation Commission 2012 meetings dates are: January 9, March 12, May 14, June 11, September 10; all at 5:00 p.m.    November 5 is the joint meeting with Council at 5:30 p.m.
