First Give-A-Lift Ride Rolls Down the Road

The Town of Fountain Hills’ new, all-volunteer Give-A-Lift transportation program will make its first trip this Thursday, July 2. Volunteer driver Michele Long is scheduled to pick up Wanda Van Arsdale for a trip to Scottsdale Health Care for required cardiac testing necessitated by conditions that occurred only this week.
Give-A-Lift goes into effect today, after Maricopa County cancelled its Special Transportation Services (STS) on June 30. The Give-A-Lift program, under the direction of Heather Ware, Town of Fountain Hills Volunteer Coordinator, pairs volunteer drivers with transportation-needy residents for rides that fulfill medical needs.
