Joan McIntosh has served as the Human Resources Administrator and Risk Manager for the Town of Fountain Hills since April, 2000. She is responsible for all personnel activities including recruitment, staffing, job analysis, orientation, training, employee relations, compensation, benefits, workers' compensation, discipline and grievance resolution, and EEO/AA compliance activities, as well as evaluating insurance coverage, loss exposure and potential loss in order to determine risks.
Ms. McIntosh attended the University of Wisconsin and received her degree in Human Resource Management from Cardinal Stritch University. She worked over 25 years in the healthcare field, including 20 years at Dean Riverview Clinic in Janesville, Wisconsin where she served as the Assistant Clinic Manager. During her tenure at Dean Riverview Clinic she also served on the Pension and Profit Sharing Board of Trustees for eleven years and was a four-year Board member at the Parker Community Credit Union.
Ms. McIntosh relocated to Arizona in 1995 and began employment in the Human Resources Department at Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale. After four years at Mayo Clinic, she began her career in local government with the Town of Fountain Hills.
