Calling All Volunteers
The Town of Fountain Hills encourages involvement in government through volunteerism. Many department services are enhanced because of the generosity of time and talent given by the citizens of Fountain Hills. Volunteers enable the Town to improve the community in many ways.
Through the Parks and Recreation Department, Administration Department, Community Center, Senior Activity Center, Fire Department and Home Delivered Meals Program - the Town is always in need of new volunteers.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are a variety of service opportunities available, including:
Parks and Recreation Special Event Volunteer:
Selling the St. Patrick Day T-shirts, registering at Turkey Trot, newspaper archivist, volunteer coaches, Concerts in the Park, providing leadership to the youth - whether through the after school program, painting faces and many other opportunities.
Volunteer Trail Steward:
Help provide trail maintenance in the parks and trails in Fountain Hills on a monthly basis.
Administration Department:
Filing, copying, proofreading, serving as a Host/Hostess for receptions and events, front desk receptionist, assisting with grant research, website assistance and the Adopt A Street program.
Senior Activity Center:
Front desk receptionist, Home Delivered Meals drivers, special events assistant, and copying.
Fire Department:
Crisis Activated Response Effort (CARE) program.
Courts:
Teen Court Program.
In addition to the various volunteer opportunities available, new positions can be created in order to match the skills of prospective volunteers.
