FPP Conceptual Plan

The Town of Fountain Hills Community Services Department invites residents to a public meeting on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., at the Community Center to discuss the Four Peaks Park master plan.

This is the last of three public meetings to discuss the development of an updated master plan for the park, which includes identifying existing amenities as well as proposed amenities for the park as it is further developed. Conceptual drawings based on input from the first two public meetings will be presented. This is the last meeting to review the master plan before it is presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Town Council for their consideration. Four Peaks Park is located 14825 N. Del Cambre.

The park’s current amenities consist of the large open turf areas and ball fields used by the local youth sports organizations, playgrounds, basketball courts, and tennis courts.

The updated master plan will be developed by Olsson Associates, a firm specializing in park design and development based in Phoenix. Park patrons and neighbors are encouraged to attend and provide their input in this important process.

re: Four Peaks Park Master Plan Public Meeting

We have reviewed the Four Peaks Master Plan. Joanna plans on attending the meeting on the 20th. Tom will be out of town.

We are not in favor of #18 - New Maintenance Yard with gated access at the planned location. It will be the first thing we see out our front door (not our idea of a good view) and believe it should be hidden somewhere behind the existing Four Peaks School Building. If #18 is being built to store equipment, it should be more centrally located, near the various amenities/fields. Also, the plot planned for #18 is elevated which would make it an eye sore times two. Whomever reading this, should ask themselves if they would want this as a view in their front picture window.

Perhaps the Pickle Ball courts should be placed in front of our house and have a Volley Ball court placed in its current planned location instead? Just a suggestion. Thank you for the opportunity to provide our input.
