Change of Hours
Beginning Monday June, 27, 2011 the Fountain Hills Building Safety Division will have new inspection hours. Inspections will be conducted in the morning from 8:00am to 12:00pm and office hours for plan review, phone calls, front counter help and building code questions will be from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Monday through Thursday.
Requesting an inspection has not changed. Contractors should continue to call the "inspection hotline" at 480-816-5131. Calls received before 6:00pm will be completed the next working day.

We also provide high quality construction permitting, plan review and building inspection services in a way that is responsive and customer friendly.
Department Description
The Building Safety Division is a work unit in the Planning and Zoning Department. Building Safety employee’s process applications for permits to construct homes, commercial buildings, fences, swimming pools and other structures. The Division coordinates the review of plans for the structures it permits; and inspects construction of those permitted structures.
