Mission Statement
The Activity Center helps seniors and boomers maintain their independence and improve the quality of their lives by providing a comprehensive and coordinated system of services and programs by collaborating with other agencies and organizations who provide support programs and social services.
Department Description
The Activity Center for Seniors and Boomers has an annual membership fee of $17.00 effective 1/1/2012-12/31/2012 which entitles members to participate in many activities. Adults 18 and over are eligible for membership.
In addition to educational seminars, classes, and support programs, the Center offers various games, travel opportunities, line dancing, men's and women's discussion groups, Spanish classes, exercise, cooking demonstrations, and much more.
The Activity Center encourages all adults to take part in these activities and programs and, where possible, to become one of the many valued volunteers. The fact that the Activity Center has nearly 300 volunteers is just one indicator that the Center is a busy place. Become involved....stop by today!
The Activity Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday - Friday.
The Activity Center for Seniors and Boomers is located inside of the Community Center.
