Town Clerk: Bevelyn J. Bender
Town Clerk Bevelyn J. Bender began her tenure with the Town of Fountain Hills’ Administration Department in October of 1994, holding the following progressive positions as the Town receptionist, the Administration Department secretary, administrative assistant, and in 1999, she was promoted to the position of executive assistant to the Town Clerk/Director of Administration.
In 2003, Ms. Bender was promoted to the position of Town Clerk. She became a Certified Municipal Clerk with the International Institute of Municipal Clerks in 2006, which was followed by completion of the State of Arizona’s Election Officers certification in 2007.
Ms. Bender is a member of the Arizona Election Officials Association, the Arizona Municipal Clerks’ Association, and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. She has served the Arizona Municipal Clerks’ Association as Region V Leader, the Mentoring Committee Chair, and member of the Scholarship and Award Committees.
As Town Clerk, Bevelyn maintains all documents necessary for the effective administration and operation of municipal government, provides support to the Mayor and Town Council and aids in the delivery of effective government service. Additionally, the Town Clerk facilitates municipal elections in accordance with statutory requirements and serves internal and external customers in an impartial, confidential, efficient, trustworthy and friendly manner. Bevelyn has been a commissioned notary for the State of Arizona and Maricopa County since 1995.
