Part-Time Opportunities

Operations Worker

If you can work evening and weekend hours, we have a great opportunity for you! The Fountain Hills Community Center has a part-time, non-benefited position that involves setting up and removing tables and chairs, dance floor, audio visual and other equipment as needed for events, as well as troubleshoot for AV equipment and assist with janitorial duties as required. Events at the center include weddings, concerts, trade shows, HOA meetings and more. Ability to communicate with the general public, vendors and management required. $12.36/hr starting. Flexible schedule desired. Hours will range from approximately 5-15 hours per week, and night and weekend shifts will be required. Some shifts end as late as 12 am on weekends. Deadline for receipt of applications is 09/26/14.

TITLE:  Operations Worker
DAYS/HOURS WORKED:  5-15 Hours Per Week, Days and Hours Vary, based on scheduled events. Some shifts end as late as 12:00 a.m. on weekends
CLOSING DATE:   6:00 P.M., September 26, 2014

Sets up and takes down chairs, tables, staging, sound equipment, dance floor or other equipment. Working knowledge of audio visual, sound, lighting, kitchen and bar equipment. Responsibilities include setting up and basic operation of equipment. May occasionally open and/or secure facility before and after events. Completes event reports noting attendance and any significant problems. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turn-around times, streamline work process, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Performs custodial duties as needed, including but not limited to cleaning, sanitizing and replenishing restrooms. Washes windows, walls and mirrors. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and vacuums floors. Dusts and cleans offices. Replaces light bulbs, cleans and polishes fixtures, and empties waste receptacles.

High School equivalency. Possession of a valid driver's license for a minimum of two years with a good driving record. Basic First Aid and ability to obtain CPR/AED Certification.

 Park Attendant

The Town of Fountain Hills Community Services Department is currently recruiting part-time Park Attendants to work about 20 hours. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: cleaning restrooms, dragging and chalking athletic fields; secure park facilities and enforce park rules; serve as the on-site field supervisor for leagues, programs, and assist at special events. Must have a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years with a clean driving record. Must be available to work outdoors with little supervision on evenings, weekends and holidays from 3 pm – 11:30 pm and 6 am – 2:30 pm. Pay is $11.69/hr.

TITLE:  Park Attendant
DAYS/HOURS WORKED:  Monday - Friday; Shifts Vary Between 6:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M. or 3 – 11:30 P.M.
CLOSING DATE:   Opened until filled.

Participates in delivery of recreation programs, including interaction with participants. Polices sites, picking up paper and trash. Provides general cleaning of buildings and restrooms. Performs routine clerical functions such as delivering flyers and answering phones or general office work. Sets up apparatus and other equipment and issues supplies; lines athletic fields and ball diamonds. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.


Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency. Six (6) months experience in related programs areas preferred. Possession of a valid driver's license for a minimum of two years with a good driving record, Basic First Aid and CPR/AED Certification required.


TITLE:  Youth Sports Instructors
CLOSING DATE:   Open until positions have been filled.
