Director of Parks and Recreation:
Mark Mayer

Mark Mayer, who joined our staff in September of 2001, came to Fountain Hills after serving for almost seven years as the Director of the Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation Department in  Minnesota. Mark earned his bachelor’s degree at Southern Illinois University and his master’s degree at the University of Wyoming.  Both degrees were in Park and Recreation Administration.  Previous to his work in the Minneapolis area he had tenures in Minnesota, Wyoming and Indiana, all as a director.  Mark has also served previously  on various state park and recreation association boards in a variety of roles including a recent term as president in Minnesota.
