Supervisor of Parks:
Don Clark

Don
Clark was promoted to the position of Supervisor of Parks in June
2000. Responsible for the entire park system, Don supervises all
operations and maintenance of Fountain Park, Golden Eagle Park, Four
Peaks Neighborhood Park and Desert Vista Neighborhood Park.
Hired as the Parks and Recreation Department’s first Parks Operation
Worker in November of 1995, Don was responsible for all maintenance at
the newly constructed Golden Eagle Park including irrigation repairs,
field prep for scheduled activities and oversight of all construction
projects within the park. Don's extensive contributions to the park’s
maintenance, operations and development were recognized in 1999 when
Golden Eagle Park received the Arizona Parks and Recreation
Association award for "Outstanding Facility" for a community
with less than 60,000 residents.
A native of Arizona, Don was born at Luke Air Force Base in May of
1956. Educated in Arizona, he earned a BS in Telecommunications from
Northern Arizona University in 1980. Don is a member of the Arizona
Parks and Recreation Association, the National Parks and Recreation
Association, the Arizona Certified Landscape Professional and is an
Arizona State certified pest control applicator. With extensive
experience as a maintenance foreman for landscape contractors, Don’s
professional expertise and leadership abilities have provided the
community with a quality parks system.
