Park Description
Fountain Park is a 64-acre passive recreation area and anchor to the town center. Built in 1970, the park includes:
  • 29-acre 100 million gallon effluent lake
  • 35 acres of turf
  • A dam
  • An 18-hole championship disc golf course
  • Children's playground
  • Chilled drinking fountain
  • Parking lots
  • Pump station
  • Restrooms
  • The world famous fountain
  • Various picnic tables and benches

Park Acquisition

The Town acquired the park May 1, 1997, from MCO Properties, Inc. Approximately 9 months later the Parks and Recreation Commission developed a new Park Master Plan. The plan includes:
  • 18 hole disc golf course
  • 2 parking lots
  • 2 restroom / control buildings
  • 5 picnic Ramadas complete with tables and barbecues
  • 7,200 linear feet of walkways complete with lighting
  • Children's playground and tot lot with water feature and shade structure
  • Interpretive signage
  • Outdoor amphitheater

Rules & Regulations

In addition to the standard park rules, there is no swimming, fishing or boating in Fountain Park Lake because the Town uses reclaimed water in Fountain Park. Click here for the splash pad rules and regulations.

Fountain Hours of Operation
The fountain operates 7 days a week, on the hour for 15 minutes from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. On windy days, the fountain may not be operating. If the wind reaches 10 miles per hour, the fountain automatically turns itself off.

Sprinklers at Fountain Park have been adjusted to run between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. to accommodate early morning walkers.

Standard Park Rules
  • Park Hours: 6 a.m. - 11 p.m.
  • No alcoholic beverages without a permit
  • No pets without a leash; owners must clean up after pets
  • No vehicles or golfing on turf areas
  • No open fires or overnight camping
  • Do not destroy plants, grass, trees or equipment
  • Vehicles left in park after 11 p.m. will be towed
  • No glass containers
  • No drones
  • No unauthorized vendors
  • Specific facilities may be reserved by obtaining a permit from the Community Services Department at Town Hall 480.816.5100
  • Violators of the law and park rules will be prosecuted
