The Mayor and Town Council are currently accepting “Letters of Interest” from qualified Fountain Hills’ electors for consideration of filling the Council vacancy created by the resignation of Council member Cecil Yates who resigned to run for Mayor this past May. There is approximately two years remaining on Councilmember Yates’ term.
The following items must be submitted together and be postmarked by September 1, 2018 in order to be considered:
The Financial Disclosure Statement form and Declaration of Qualifications Form can be downloaded from the Town’s website: www.fh.az.gov/councilvacancy
The Mayor and Town Council will sponsor a “Public Question and Answer Event” later in September. Additional information will be made available once the details of the event have been confirmed.
As the last step of the process, the Mayor and Town Council will schedule interviews with the qualified candidates, which are anticipated to take place sometime after the “Public Question and Answer Event.”
