Upcoming Municipal Elections
On Tuesday, August 30, 2016, the Town of Fountain Hills will hold a Primary Election to nominate a Mayor and three Council positions.
The 2016 Primary and General Elections will not be "mail ballot elections". Polling locations will be utilized within the Town for the 2016 Primary and General Elections due to a change in Maricopa County Elections administrative procedures regarding consolidated ballot elections.
The terms of the Town of Fountain Hills Mayor Linda M. Kavanagh and Councilmembers Dennis Brown, Cassie Hansen, and Cecil Yates will expire November 2016. If any of the local Candidates receive an outright majority of actual votes cast at the Primary Election, they will be declared elected and will not be required to run in the November 8, 2016, General Election.
Please note that Town of Fountain Hills Candidates will be on the same consolidated "partisan" ballot with other local, County, State or Federal agencies who are holding their elections August 30, 2016.
Sample Ballots are available online at www.maricopa.vote.

August 30, 2016 Primary Election Maricopa County Elections Logistic and Accuracy Testing Notice:
- Maricopa County Elections will send out a 90-day Notice Postcard to registered voters prior to the August 30, 2016 Primary so that voters may: (1) update their registration information, (2) request to be added to or removed from the Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL), and (3) indicate their party ballot preference, if applicable.
Qualified Fountain Hills' electors who registered as "party not designated" (PND) by August 1, 2016 for the August 30, 2016 Primary Election, and who "opted-in" to participate as part of the Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL) process, will be required to contact Maricopa County Elections by mail, phone, or fax to request their choice of "partisan ballot" before a ballot can be mailed as no party choice is on record for them.
Fountain Hills electors may verify their registration status with Maricopa County Elections or the Arizona Secretary of State's office.
