The time for filing as a 2020 Local Election Candidate has now passed. The following information is provided for general knowledge of the process.
The CANDIDATE INFORMATION sheet includes information for the 2020 Local Election. An individual was able to run as a write-in candidate by filing a Write-In Candidate Nomination Paper and Financial Disclosure Statement (available under Forms and Information) by June 25, 2020.
Voters may register to vote online. Hard copy voter registration forms may be obtained by contacting the Town Clerk's Office or at the Maricopa County Recorder's offices during regular business hours.

November 3, 2020 - General Election
OCTOBER 15, 2020. (This date changed from the previously-reported date of October 23, 2020, due to a court decision on October 13, 2020).
Voter Eligibility Requirements
Qualified electors must register prior to midnight 29-days preceding the date of the election. An individual is eligible to register to vote as provided in state law: ARIZ. REV. STAT. §9-822, ARIZ. REV. STAT. §16-101 and ARIZ. REV. STAT. §16-121 and Town Code, Chapter 2, Section 2-9-1.
Voters may verify the status of their voted early ballot and that it has been received by Maricopa County Elections for processing and tabulation through the Arizona Secretary of State's office website or on the Maricopa County Recorder's Election website.

Voting Center and Early Ballot Drop Off Location
There will be
ONEvoting center in Fountain Hills located at Plaza Fountainside, 12645 North Saguaro Blvd. Anyone registered in Maricopa County is able to vote at this location and early ballots may also be dropped off. This center will be open beginning October 22, 2020, every day from 9 AM to 7 PM other than Sundays, and on Monday, November 2, 2020, from 9 AM to 5 PM. On Election Day, November 3, 2020, the center will be open from 6 AM to 7 PM.

Maricopa County Recorder / Elections Office
The Maricopa County Recorder / Elections Office is currently closed for walk-in traffic due to the COVID-19; however, they are available by contacting them at 602.506.3535, or visit maricopa.vote.
